Canal Art
During the spring term in Year One, we have been busy learning all about canals. We have been learning what they were/are used for, when they were built and have created some of our own canal art inspired by the local artist Julie Tonkin. We created a pack to take home including a bookmark, painted tile and an e-book that we created in pairs. Take a look at some of our canal art and e-books.

Year 5 Mayan Extravaganza Outcome
On the afternoon of Thursday 3rd April, Year 5 had their Mayan extravaganza outcome. Parents were invited to attend, and the children were able to show them all they had learned during their Spring History topic. With a mixture of display and performance, the children wowed the adults who had attended with their expert knowledge of the Central American civilisation. Year 4 Anglo-Saxon Learning
For our Anglo-Saxon outcome we invited parents in to see some of the incredible artwork we have created and create some Anglo-Saxon crafts. There were runes to create, illuminated letters to colour, bracelets to make with wooden beads and scratch art crosses. Children loved sending time being creative with their grown ups.

T4Ts and Nursery Farm on Wheels
The children (and staff) were very excited to welcome Stella the Farmer from Farm on Wheels to school. Stella bought some of her farm animals in her trailer for the children to meet. There was Racket the donkey, Hugo the rabbit, Kevin and Timmy the lambs, some hens and ducks. The children enjoyed feeding, petting and walking the animals. The children learnt lots about the different animals and imitated the animal sounds they heard!
