Last Thursday, our Year 3 pupils hosted an exciting “Outcome Afternoon” for Year 2, transporting them back to the Stone Age. As part of their topic comparing the UK to India, Year 2 were delighted to welcome a special visitor, Sohan Kailey, a Bhangra dancer and storyteller, into school. Sohan taught the children how to dance in a lively Bollywood style and gave them the chance to dress in traditional Indian clothing, bringing their learning to life. Year two took part in a wonderful visit to Selly Manor in Birmingham to learn all about the Great Fire of London and to see a building of that time period. They took part in storytelling, interactive games from the period, as well as being guided around the manor seeing all the different rooms and artefacts. Everyone loved seeing how people would have lived and learned lots by touring the kitchen, dining room as well as the bedroom.

This year we were blessed with good weather on our brilliant adventure to Kingswood. We took part in lots of exciting activities, and all feel really grown up now as we slept overnight without our parents!
