Poetry Fortnight 2026
As part of literacy, the children took part in the annual Poetry Fortnight. Throughout the fortnight, they practised writing poems in their lessons and had the opportunity to learn and recite this year’s poem, The Sound Collector. Commonwealth Games Baton Relay
As part of the 2026 Commonwealth Games celebrations in Glasgow, the Cross-Country team from Wilkinson Primary School proudly carried the baton through Bilston to the sound of enthusiastic cheers. The baton was handed to them by pupils from Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, before being carried onwards to St Martin’s CE Primary School in preparation for the celebrations.

Singing in the Halls 2026
On the morning of Tuesday 19th May, the choir children from Years 3 to 6 enjoyed an incredible trip to Wolverhampton Halls, where they had the exciting opportunity to watch and sing along with the Wolverhampton Music Service. The performance featured a lively and varied selection of songs, including Queen's 'One Vision', 'High Hopes' by Panic! At the Disco and 'Never Grow Up' by Taylor Swift. Year 6 - Transport Booklet

Reception Trip to Dudley Zoo 🐾
We were delighted that our Reception children had the opportunity to visit Dudley Zoo as part of our learning this term. The trip gave the children a wonderful chance to explore a wide variety of animals, learn about different habitats, and develop their understanding of the world around them. During the visit, the children enjoyed exploring the zoo grounds, where they saw animals such as lions, giraffes, penguins, and many more. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experienc

Sycamore Adventure Park
Recently year 1 took part in their class trip to Sycamore Adventure Park. The weather was glorious, and the children were in great spirits and very excited! Children enjoyed the indoor soft play area, the pirate ship and had fun on the go-karts and climbing the hill to go down the slides. We think they enjoyed seeing their teachers on the slide too! It was the perfect weather to enjoy the water area and sandpit. “I had the best day!” said Grayson. “I loved the mini-bus ride.”

Year 2 - India
Year 2 had a visitor in school to talk to us about our new topic, India. We explored Indian artifacts, Indian dances and heard traditional stories about Gods and Goddess.

Edgbaston High School for Girls Choral Day
On Friday 20th March 2026, members of our choir visited Edgbaston High School for Girls to participate in a Choral Day led by classically trained singer Matt Pandya. The day began with a series of vocal warm-up exercises, followed by learning and rehearsing songs from popular musicals and films, including 'Wicked' and 'Matilda'. Year 4 - British Science Week & Science Day
For British Science Week Year 4 celebrated by having visitors in to deliver an Elastic Racers workshop. Children had to create a car and move it as far as possible using an elastic band. We had lots of fun whilst learning about forces. Then we dressed up as different types of scientists for Science Day.
