Year 5's Viking topic started with an exciting Viking workshop where children had the chance to dress in Viking clothes and take part in a battle with Viking swords, spears and shields. For our Anglo-Saxon outcome we invited parents in to see some of the incredible artwork we have created and create some Anglo-Saxon crafts. There were runes to create, illuminated letters to colour, bracelets to make with wooden beads and scratch art crosses. Children loved sending time being creative with their grown ups.

The Year 4 children enjoyed a Roman style banquet as part of their topic 'The Romans in Britain'. They tried some 'Roman' food including figs, dates, fish, olives, honey, cheese, grapes and flamingo (actually it was chicken) all washed down with watered down wine (Blackcurrant juice). Not all of the food was a hit with all of the children but many children discovered new foods!

In the first few weeks of the term children in Year 2 went on an amazing visit to Kingswood. We all had a brilliant time and took part in lots of activities. In Nursery we learnt all about fairy tales during the Autumn term. We created our own animation of Little Red Riding Hood. We enjoyed drawing the characters and scenery and using the recording both to record the audio. We created the animation using the Puppet Pals app.
