In Nursery, we have been having lots of fun outside! We went on a nature walk and discovered many natural items. We went to the fruit and vegetable patches and collected pears and tomatoes; however, the minibeasts had eaten lots of them! Maybe it was The Very Hungry Caterpillar! We found many minibeasts in the garden, we found a woodlouse, centipede and there were lots of ants. We have also had a fantastic time in our new mud kitchen making lots of different meals!

This half term in Reception, we have completed a variety of ‘Understanding the World’ activities. We used mirrors to observe our features and discussed differences between ourselves and our friends. We painted self-portraits to be displayed in our classroom. After discussing our own environment, we began to learn about the environments of other people and animals. We were able to match the characters with their homes and habitats. We are enjoying spending lots of time o

During RE we investigated the different animals Christian’s believe God created. We thought about the wonders of the world and went on a walk to see what we could see. Later we are going to investigate, ‘Does God want Christian’s to look after the world?’

n our computing lessons we have been looking at film making. We looked at some of the different jobs involved in film making: camera operators, directors and editors. We made a story board, used different types of shot and edited our film. We hope you enjoy our films.

In Terrific for Twos we have enjoyed exploring a wide range of books and stories. We decorated our own magic wands and capes to celebrate Macbeth during Shakespeare Fortnight!

To celebrate Tell a Fairy Tale Day we learnt the words and actions to one of our favourite traditional tales, Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

We enjoyed having a visitor in school who taught us African dancing and drumming skills. We were able to explore new instruments and a new genre of music.
