  • Roman Style Banquet

    The Year 4 children enjoyed a Roman style banquet as part of their topic 'The Romans in Britain'. They tried some 'Roman' food including figs, dates, fish, olives, honey, cheese, grapes and flamingo (actually it was chicken) all washed down with watered down wine (Blackcurrant juice). Not all of the food was a hit with all of the children but many children discovered new foods!

  • Natural Disasters

    As part of the Year 6 outcome for the topic ‘Natural Disasters’, the children put on an exhibition to raise money for the National Flood Forum. The event was a great success with artwork, poetry, photos and cakes being sold to raise money for this important charity. The children witnessed first hand the effects of flooding on a school trip to Bewdley and were delighted to find out that they had raised a fantastic £214.81.

  • Viking Activities

    Year 5 hosted their very own event this term in the school hall and invited children from Stowlawn Primary School to take part in a day full of Viking activities. The children from Year 5 carried out code-breaking sessions, origami, jewellery making and even archery!

  • Extreme Survival

    During their Autumn term topic, ‘Extreme Survival’, children in Year 3 learned about the changes in Britain from the stone age to the iron age. Our stone age visitor showed us lots of different clothes across the ages including a range of animal skins. We also handled artefacts including tools made from stone. In the afternoon we sharpened some flint to replicate a spearhead and made a clay pot for storing oil. An exciting day was had by all!

  • BlueBot

    In ICT this term we have been learning to programme a BlueBot.

  • Teddy Bears Picnic

    Our Learning Outcome was a Teddy Bears Picnic. We made fruit salad and jam sandwiches.
