King Edward’s School, Birmingham
We carried on our longstanding relationship with King Edward’s School, Birmingham with our latest visit to compete for the Borcherds shield. The Borcherds Shield is an annual mathematics competition for primary school students, held at King Edward's School in Birmingham. It is named after mathematician Sir Richard Borcherds, who was a Fields Medal winner and a former student of King Edward's School. The competition involves gifted and talented students from local primary schools competing in various math challenges. Four children from Year 4 took part in the latest heats and had a wonderful afternoon eventually finishing fifth. Well done to Liban, Briar, Heaven-Leigh and Ravleen.
