Year 6 GD Writing Workshop

As part of their writing lessons, some pupils from Year 6 took part in a GD Writing Workshop. The Year 6 pupils had to write a short story about a picture that they had chosen from a selection that they had been given. The pictures were a collection of different animals in their natural habitat. To begin the session, the pupils had a zoom call with other schools in Wolverhampton. Primary Maths Challenge

During the Autumn Term ten of our year 5 and 6 children took part in the Primary Maths Challenge. This challenge is a fun, nationwide mathematical contest for primary school pupils aged 9–11 (Years 5 and 6). All ten of our children performed brilliantly and at the time of writing the children are waiting to see whether any of them qualify for the final round in February. Good Luck everyone!

Clean sweep of gold medals at Local Cross Country Competition

Wilkinson’s Cross Country Team took part in an invitational event between local school teams from Springdale, Warstones and Springvale. They brought home a flurry of medals with individual successes across the year groups as well as a clean sweep of gold places for boys’ and girls’ teams from Yr 3 and 4 and teams from Yr 5 and 6. We look forward to another event later in the year.
