Design and Technology at Wilkinson

Design and technology is an inspiring, practical subject which challenges pupils’ creativity and imagination. They will learn how to research, evaluate, design and make products that solve real and relevant problems. Through the comparison of past and present design and technology, they develop their critical understanding of its impact on daily life and the wider world.

It is our intent that, by the time they leave Wilkinson Primary School, all our children will aspire to use creativity and imagination to design and create products that meet their requirements. Pupils will be resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable in understanding how design and technology contributes to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of the nation.
