The children at Wilkinson love taking part in Art and Design activities in school and particularly enjoy visiting places such as Bilston Art Gallery.
Throughout the school, children will be taught a progression of key skills, which will be extended and developed across the curriculum, especially in topic linked learning. All children should be able to use their artwork as a form of visual communication and personal expression through a variety of media and techniques. In order for children to have access to an artistic form or expression, and to develop individually as artists, we aim to teach Art as a separate subject alongside those linked cross-curricular activities.
Throughout the school children will have the opportunity to study a range of different artists and art styles such as; Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso and Art Deco. They will complete a range of different pieces of art work including Digital media, Painting, Printing, 3-D work, Textiles, and Drawing.
